Tarkett promotes long-term strategy at ChangeNOW
April 29, 2025

Last week, Paris became the center of the global movement for a sustainable future. The 5th edition of ChangeNOW 2025 (24-26 April), one of the most important sustainability events on a global scale, united leaders, committed organisations and initiatives driving change. Over three days, this platform brought together 40,000 participants, 1,000 high-impact solutions, 10,000 companies, 1,200 investors and 140 countries.
Fabrice Barthélemy, CEO of Tarkett, joined a powerful panel with leaders from BNP Paribas and INSEAD, to discuss how companies can drive long-term sustainability strategies in a fast-moving short-term world.
Some of the key learnings from this panel
• Companies need to imbed sustainability into investment decisions. Tarkett has set up a shadow carbon price to anticipate future emissions costs and facilitate data-driven decisions for a carbon neutral future.
• Turn regulations into opportunities: Tackling frameworks like the European reporting legislation CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) requires effort, but it helps strengthen business practices and align teams toward measurable impact.
• Align all stakeholders for impact: Customers, employees, and investors must see a clear value case for sustainability. Today, customers increasingly demand concrete environmental proof points, including during call for tenders — turning sustainability into a competitive advantage, not a constraint.
