Tarkett promotes long-term strategy at ChangeNOW

Last week, Paris became the center of the global movement for a sustainable future. The 5th edition of ChangeNOW 2025 (24-26 April), one of the most important sustainability events on a global scale, united leaders, committed organisations and initiatives driving change. Over three days, this platform brought together 40,000 participants, 1,000 high-impact solutions, 10,000 companies, 1,200 investors and 140 countries.

Fabrice Barthélemy, CEO of Tarkett, joined a powerful panel with leaders from BNP Paribas and INSEAD, to discuss how companies can drive long-term sustainability strategies in a fast-moving short-term world.

Some of the key learnings from this panel

Companies need to imbed sustainability into investment decisions. Tarkett has set up a shadow carbon price to anticipate future emissions costs and facilitate data-driven decisions for a carbon neutral future.

Turn regulations into opportunities: Tackling frameworks like the European reporting legislation CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) requires effort, but it helps strengthen business practices and align teams toward measurable impact.

Align all stakeholders for impact: Customers, employees, and investors must see a clear value case for sustainability. Today, customers increasingly demand concrete environmental proof points, including during call for tenders — turning sustainability into a competitive advantage, not a constraint.
