Tarkett Sports equipped one of the USA’s largest high school stadiums

Buford High School, home of Georgia’s 14-time state football champions, has unveiled its new Phillip Beard Stadium—a 10,000-seat, state-of-the-art venue that rivals collegiate facilities across the USA. At the heart of this transformation is FieldTurf, a Tarkett Sports brand, which installed its high-performance artificial turf Vertex CORE system at the newly named Dexter Wood Field.

Manufactured locally in Calhoun, Georgia, USA, this installation marks the latest chapter in a long-standing partnership between FieldTurf and Buford High School, which has trusted them for surfacing solutions across its athletic programs—from football to baseball, soccer, and more.

The new stadium not only supports Buford’s growing student population—now at 2,000 students, up from just 400 in 1996—but also serves as a hub for community events, concerts, and school spirit. Tarkett Sports is proud to contribute to a facility that will inspire generations of students and athletes.
